Cookie Policy
Last Updated and Effective Date: 18 August 2026
Version: 1.0
This Cookie Policy explains how DeployWise Technologies ("DeployWise", "we", "us", or "our") uses cookies, local storage, session storage, and similar tracking technologies when you use our web platform and Progressive Web Application (PWA).
This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions.
1. What Are Cookies and Local Storage?
- Cookies: Small data text files placed on your computer or mobile device by your web browser when you visit a website. Cookies allow web applications to recognize your browser, remember login sessions, and maintain preferences.
- LocalStorage & IndexedDB: Web storage mechanisms provided by modern browsers that store data locally with higher capacity than cookies. DeployWise uses these to support offline field operations, cache dashboard states, and store temporary form drafts.
2. How DeployWise Uses Cookies
DeployWise uses cookies and local storage strictly to ensure platform security, maintain authenticated sessions, and deliver core workforce management functionalities. We do not sell your browsing data or use third-party advertising tracking cookies.
3. Categories of Cookies We Use
3.1 Strictly Necessary & Authentication Cookies (Essential)
These cookies are required for the application to function securely and cannot be switched off in our systems.
- deploywise_access_token: A secure, HTTP-only JWT cookie used to authenticate your user session and verify permissions across protected API routes (Expires in 1 hour).
- deploywise_refresh_token: A secure, HTTP-only cookie used to automatically and seamlessly refresh your access session without requiring frequent re-logins (Expires in 7 days).
- CSRF / Security Tokens: Protects your forms and requests against Cross-Site Request Forgery attacks.
3.2 Functional & Preference Cookies
These cookies and storage items remember choices you make to provide an enhanced, personalized experience:
- Theme Preferences: Remembers your preferred display mode (Dark mode, Light mode, or System default).
- Sidebar & Navigation State: Stores collapsed/expanded UI state for dashboard navigation.
- Active Workspace / Company: Caches current company tenant context for smooth navigation.
3.3 Offline & Progressive Web App (PWA) Storage
- Service Worker Cache: Caches application shell assets, styling, and offline fallbacks so field supervisors and workers can load the application without internet connectivity.
- IndexedDB Sync Queue: Temporarily holds offline check-in records and attendance timestamps until an active internet connection is detected for automatic server synchronization.
3.4 Third-Party Essential Service Cookies
When interacting with specific embedded workflows, third-party providers may set essential functional cookies:
- Razorpay: Sets temporary secure transaction tokens during checkout to authenticate payment flows.
- OpenStreetMap / Map Tiles: Caches geolocation map tiles in your browser cache to accelerate map rendering for site boundaries.
4. Summary of Key Cookies
| Cookie / Key Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
deploywise_access_token | Essential (HTTP-only) | User authentication and authorization | 1 hour |
deploywise_refresh_token | Essential (HTTP-only) | Secure session renewal | 7 days |

5. How You Can Control and Manage Cookies
5.1 Browser Settings: Most web browsers allow you to manage your cookie preferences through their settings menu. You can configure your browser to reject all cookies, accept only first-party cookies, or alert you when a cookie is placed.
Note: Because our authentication and session mechanisms rely on essential cookies, disabling cookies will prevent you from logging into DeployWise.
5.2 Clearing Local Storage: You can clear browser local storage, IndexedDB caches, and PWA cached data at any time via your browser's developer tools or application settings.
6. Updates to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our technology stack or legal requirements. Any modifications will be posted here with an updated "Effective Date".
